Ronnie Von

Born: July 17 1944

About:
Ronnie Von started as singer in the mid 1960's Jovem Guarda genre, attracting the attention of the media and record companies mostly due to his good looks as a teenage girl idol. He soon also gained his own TV show: "O Pequeno Mundo de Ronnie Von" - popular among kids and teenagers of the time.

Unexpectedly in 1969 Ronnie Von decided to turn away from the Jovem Guarda genre and released three very strong albums of psychedelic pop and rock, with an interesting and distinctly Brazilian touch. This proved to be the artistic high point of his career. Ronnie Von spent the remainder of his career as a crooner, much in the vein of Roberto Carlos and Julio Iglesias.
