Marcos Valle

Born: September 14, 1943

About:
One of the most prominent figures of the second wave of bossa nova, Marcos Valle emerged as a young cool bossa nova singer in 1963, gaining attention both for his talent as singer/composer and his hip surfer style and blond hair. Already during the 1960's, Marcos Valle gained an international following, not the least due to the huge success of the song Samba de verão, which has since been rerecorded and performed countless of times by other artists. During the 1970's Marcos Valle added influences of modern pop to his bossa nova - but always retained the trademark cool elegance and taste in his music.
